The staff at HK has years of experience catering events in New Orleans, San Francisco and beyond.  We can help you plan and execute the perfect event whether it’s a multi-day conference, an office party or meeting, or a special celebration with friends.  We are able to meet a range of catering demands, from large family style meals to professional white linen dinners.  We can also deliver fresh, portable meals ideal for feeding students, campers, or any group of hungry New Orleanians. HOW CAN I PLACE MY ORDER?

You can call us at 504-444-4113 or email chef@hknola.com with your order.  For large catering orders a credit card payment or deposit may be required.  If you are picking up, pre-payment by credit card expedites the process and will get you on your way much faster. If we are delivering your order we will charge your card the day before the order is delivered.

WHEN DO I NEED TO PLACE MY ORDER?

The more notice the better. We prefer to have two weeks notice for large orders, however we will try to accommodate any request. For smaller catering orders please try to give at least 48 hours advance notice to ensure we have all the ingredients needed for your order.  Because we make everything from scratch, please note that we stop taking orders at 3 pm for orders two days later.

HOW MUCH SHOULD I ORDER?

Our menu provides an approximate number of servings in each dish. For hors d’oeuvres, count on about 3 pieces/items per guest per hour. In addition, you should consider whether your event coincides with a mealtime, or if alcohol will be served; in either of these situations guests are likely to eat more. We’re happy to help you with quantities once we understand a bit more about your event details.

WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS?

We offer a wide range of catering options, from ready-to-serve platters to full-service sit-down dinners.

PICK-UP:  Any of the menu items currently in season can be ordered by phone or email for pick-up, with 48 hours notice. They are presented on biodegradable or recyclable platters (for items designed to be served cold or at room temperature) or oven-safe aluminum platters (for reheat items). If you prefer to serve on your own platters, we can pack the items in boxes for easier transport.

DELIVERY:  The same guidelines apply for delivery as for pick-up (see above). We can deliver to your home, office or event venue with 48 hours notice.  Delivery is generally available between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.  Delivery is available throughout New Orleans, and we can usually be provide delivery to surrounding communities as well.  A delivery fee will be quoted at the time of your order.

OTHER SERVICES:  To help facilitate your event, we are happy to offer additional services such as setting the food out, buffet arrangement and coffee service.  Charges are calculated based on the location and the services provided, and will be quoted at the time of order.

FULL SERVICE CATERING:  From small, in-home parties to multi-day corporate events to lavish wedding receptions, we will create a custom menu, coordinate with your selected venue, arrange for rentals and provide charming staff who are dedicated to great service.  We coordinate and manage all the details!  Sample menus are all available on our website.

DO YOU PROVIDE PLATES? FORKS? COFFEE CUPS? CRYSTAL CHAMPAGNE FLUTES?

Yes to forks and plates and coffee cups—champagne flutes with full-service catering. We exclusively use biodegradable plates, utensils, cups and napkins for our pick-up or drop-off catering service. We charge a nominal fee per setting. We can also provide disposable serving utensils upon request. We are happy to offer additional services such as buffet arrangement and coffee service. Charges are calculated based on the location and the services provided, and will be quoted at the time of order.
